Bobby Ball is one half of the comedy double act Cannon and Ball, along with Tommy Cannon.

He married his first wife, Joan, in 1964, with whom he had two sons, Robert and Darren. They separated in 1968. He married his second wife, Yvonne, in 1971. They have one daughter.

Ball has been in show business with his comedy partner for 42 years.

He appeared in the fifth series of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" with Tommy.

The pair are devout Christians and have published a book called " [http://www.comedykings.co.uk/book/christfo.shtml Christianity for Beginners] ". Bobby Ball became a born-again Christian in 1986 and Tommy Cannon in 1992, their conversion having a lot to do with the re-kindling of their broken friendship. They now regularly feature in their own gospel and "an audience with..." show in churches around the country.

Bobby Ball was namechecked in a song by The Beloved called Hello [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_(The_Beloved_song)] A little known Bobby Ball remix of this track was made by a North East producer and featured Bobby Balls name being used as the second in every pairing of names.

Since working together with Casey-Lee Jolleys in pantomime at The Theatre Royal, Cardiff in Wales it became their joint ambition to open an academy incorporating all forms of dance, drama, singing and comedy and in 2007 this dream became reality with the opening of [http://caseyleejolleysacademy.com/ The Casey-Lee Jolleys Academy of Dance & Drama] in Bolton, Lancashire.
