Diane Morgan

Diane Morgan is an English actress, comedian and writer. Originally from Bolton she studied at East 15 Acting School before getting the role of Dawn in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights. Her work as a stand up comedian has seen her placed second in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Award 2006 and runner up in the Funny Women Awards[1] 2006, for new and aspiring female comedy talent. Since then she has appeared on numerous episodes of BBC's Mock the Week[2] and has continued to work with fellow comedian Joe Wilkinson as part of the deadpan sketch group Two Episodes of Mash.[3]

Two Episodes of Mash

Two Episodes of Mash is a sketch group composed of Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan. After performing at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival for three consecutive years[4][5][6]they appeared on Robert Webb's satirical news show Robert's Web[7]. Still working together to this day they have a comedy sketch show in the works due to air on BBC Radio 2 in October 2011.

Future appearances

As well as her stand up performance dates she will also be appearing in Sky HD's Mount Pleasant[8] as receptionist Talia.

Short films

Morgan has appeared in a number of short films including the Johnathan Van Tulleken directed The Boot Sale[9] written by Rick Edwards which was shortlisted in The Virgin Media Shorts film competition 2010.[10]
