A senior high school, it serves grades 10-12, and its principal is Bob Celebrezze. [2]
The school colors are black and red, and the mascot is the bear.[1] The athletic teams compete in IHSAA class 4A, the second-highest in the state.[3] MHS played against the largest shools in the state until 1979, when it dropped from A-1 to A-2 (now 4A).[4] Due to limited space on its campus, the varsity athletic facilities are located at Bear Field near Moscow Junior High School, approximately 10 blocks east. State championship football games have occasionally been held in the Kibbie Dome, on the campus of the University of Idaho.[5]
