Morgan Downey is a New York based American commodities trader and author of the 2009 book Oil 101,[1] which was called a "must read" by the Financial Times[2] and leading oil blog reviewed the book as an addition to its select group of top oil books.[3] Downey has been cited in the press as an expert in oil markets,[4][5] Morgan Downey now heads commodities for Bloomberg. Prior to his current role, Morgan ran commodity trading desks for Citibank, Bank of America and Standard Chartered Bank in New York, Sydney, London and Singapore. He is now Head of commodities at Bloomberg.
