(Bonaparte, 1850)The Moluccan Hawk-Owl (Ninox squamipila), is a species of owl in the Strigidae family. It is found in Indonesia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Subspecies
Most taxonomists recognize four subspecies, with some other taxonomists classifying each as a distinct species:
- N. s. forbesi (GR Gray, 1861) - Tanimbar Hawk-Owl - Tanimbar Islands
- N. s. hantu (Wallace, 1863) - Hantu Hawk-Owl - Buru Island in the southern Maluku Islands
- N. s. hypogramma (PL Sclater, 1883) - Halmahera Hawk-Owl - northern Maluku Islands of Halmahera, Ternate, and Bacan
- N. s. squamipila (Bonaparte, 1850) - nominate - Seram Island in the southern Maluku slands
