Mukkam is a small town in Kozhikode district, located about 32 km east of Calicut city on the bank of river Iruvanjippuzha - . One of the major tributary of River Chaliyar. Nearby places are Thiruvambady, Omassery, Mavoor, Koodaranji, Areacode, Anayamkunnu and Kunnamangalam. It is under Thiruvambady Assembly Constituency. Mukkam is populous in its market strength and Mukkam Muslim Orphanage[1]. Nilambur-Koyilandi SH pass through here.
