Datuk Mohd Hayati Othman is a Malaysian politician and is currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Pendang constituency in Kedah. He is a member of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) in the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition.[1]

Hayati was elected to the Pendang seat in the 2004 election with a 50 vote margin. This was a rare win for PAS in an election where it lost 20 of its 27 seats. Hayati increased his majority in the 2008 election.[2] He had contested the seat in a by-election in 2002, but was defeated by Othman Abdul of the United Malay National Organisation.[3]

In January 2010, Mohd Hayati was conferred the honorific title of Datuk by Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah.[4]
