Mocho Nacional is beef cattle breed created in Brazil during the 20th Century. It is a polled cattle. In fact "Mocho Nacional" means "national polled" in Portuguese. Such as the Caracu it is of European origin race, not a zebu race. In Brazil, this race represents less than 2% of beef cattle. Even with low popularity, this race is one of the sources of Tabapuan, another polled beef cattle race of Brazil.
