The song was released as a digital download single to iTunes on November 20, 2007. USA Today featured the article on "Mistletoe" as the most downloaded holiday song of 2007.^[1] In its first holiday run, the song sold approximately 116,000 units^[2].

Compilations

The song is featured on the compilation disk The Essential Now That's What I Call Christmas, released in September 2008.^[3] The song is also featured on Epic Records and Hotel Café's Christmas compilation album Hotel Cafe Presents Winter Songs, with all proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
