Misa River (right) meets with Iecava riverOrigin Vecumnieki municipality Mouth Iecava River, Ozolnieki municipality Basin countries Latvia Length 108 km (67 mi) Misa is a 108 kilometers long river in Semigallia, Latvia.[1] Its upper course till tributary Zvirgzde river is rectificated. There are active peat extraction and polders at the coasts of river from Stelpe village till Beibeži village. From Zvirgzde river till Plakanciems village there are several summer cottage colonies at the woodland coasts of Misa river. Below Plakanciems village till Misa's mouth in Iecava river near Ozolnieki village, the coasts of river are with relatively high population density.
The biggests settlements near the river: Stelpe, Beibeži, Dzērumi, Plakanciems, Pēternieki, Dalbe and Ozolnieki.
