The Ministry of Information of Egypt was the ministry in charge of media and information in Egypt. Its headquarters were in Cairo. The position of Minister was held by Anas el-Fiqqi from 2004 until he resigned from the position during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.[1] The position was abolished when the new Cabinet of Egypt was created under Essam Sharaf.
