The show is based on a popular novel Noukadubi, written by the famous Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore in 1905, who also wrote the national anthem of India Jana Gana Mana.[1] It follows the concept of mistaken identities where a woman is thought to be someone who died in a train mishap.

Concept

The story is based on the lives of 2 pairs of newly wedded couples, Aakash & Shruti and Sankalp & Aastha, who are soulmates but destiny plays tricks on them. One vary day, both Akash and Sankalp board the same train back only this time they are not alone, they are with their wives and are in different compartment unaware of each other's presence. Both brides are dressed in red wedding dresses, their faces covered with veils. As it is written in destiny, the train in which these couples are riding meets with an accident. Both Sankalp and Akash survive and start searching for their wives together, even though they have not seen each other. Unfortunately, Akash’s father and other relatives are dead. On the other hand, Sankalp finds Shruti’s dead body and mistakes it for Aastha as the face is mutilated beyond recognition. He claims the dead body and performs the final rites. Whereas Aakash finds an unconscious Aastha also dressed in red in her veil and mistakes her for Shruti and takes her to the nearest hospital. After several hours Aastha gains her conscious but at the cost of her memory lose. Even Aakash comes to know that this is not his wife, but Aastha mistakes him as her husband. Now the question remains that should Aakash leave Aastha on her miserable condition by telling her the truth or should he help support her as his wife on the name of humanity.
