The Rt Rev Michael Ashley Mann KCVO was an eminent Anglican clergyman during the last quarter of the 20th century.[1] He was born on 25 May 1924 [2] and educated at Harrow School and Sandhurst,[3] from 1946 to 1955 he served in the Colonial Service in Nigeria.[4] Ordained in 1957 he was later Vicar of Sparkwell, a Canon Residentiary at Norwich Cathedral, Bishop of Dudley [5] and finally Dean of Windsor.[6] He retired in 1989.[7]
