Dr. Michael Welker is a Professor of Financial Accounting and the KPMG Faculty Fellow at the Queen's School of Business. He is particularly notable for published research in which he and others examine firm disclosure practices and international accounting issues. He has also been honoured by appointments to the editorial boards of several scholarly journals.
Academic background
Michael Alan Welker is an Associate Editor of Contemporary Accounting Research, a publication of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association, and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Accounting Research. He has served in the past on the Editorial Board of The Accounting Review. He received his Ph.D from the University of Iowa.[1]
