Michael Anthony Milton, b. 1958 is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church and the Chancellor-elect[1] of Reformed Theological Seminary. Milton was elected on September 2, 2010, by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees to become the next chancellor in 2012. With Milton's election the Office of the Chancellor is now located in Charlotte, North Carolina where Milton resides[2]. Michael A. Milton is also a published author[3], a blogger[4] and the author of a "Commentary" column on Christianity and culture[5], a singer/songwriter and recording artist[6], as well as a host and speaker on Faith for Living[7], an outreach program of the Reformed Theological Seminary that reaches an estimated 100 million potential viewing households throughout the United States.[8]

Education and Credentials
Michael A. Milton holds a Bachelor of Arts from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas as well as a Masters of Divinity from Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Wales, Lampeter in historical theology. He was a graduate in Albanian at the Defense Language Institute and earned the diploma from the Command and General Staff College from his service as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves, where he serves as a chaplain. He is presently an instructor at the United States Army Chaplain Center and School at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Life and Ministry
Milton was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and orphaned shortly after his birth. Following his licensure in 1989 and subsequent ordination in 1993, Milton founded Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, Kansas and the Westminster Academy Christian School. He was called by D. James Kennedy to serve as the interim president of Knox Seminary in 1997, and did so until 1998 when he founded Kirk O' the Isles Presbyterian Church, near Skidaway Island, Georgia. In December, 2001, Milton was called to follow Ben Haden as the twelfth pastor of First Presbyterian Church. In 2008 he was called by the Board of Trustees of RTS to assume the presidency of RTS Charlotte.

Milton is a singer/songwriter, performer, and recording artist. He has released three Christian music albums under the label Music for Missions:

In 2012 Reformed Theological Seminary through Music for Missions released a single for Christmas, "When Heaven Came Down." [25]

Personal Life
Milton is married to the former Mae Slow of Eldorado, Illinois. They reside with their son in Charlotte, North Carolina. Milton's life story was published by Christian Focus Publications in 2007 under the title, What God Starts, God Completes: Gospel Hope for Hurting People, the Life Lessons of Mike Milton.[27]
