Mettupalayam taluk is a taluk of Coimbatore district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Mettupalayam.
Population
According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Mettupalayam had a population of 237,805 with 120,276 males and 117,509 females. There were 977 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 71.9. The total number of households was 61,752.
