Taichung Metropolitan Opera House (台中大都會歌劇院) is currently under construction. Located in the 7th Metropolitan area of Taichung city, Taiwan. The estimated area of the structure is 57,685 meter squared, with 2011 seats. Designed by a Japanese architect, Toyo Ito. Contracted in 2009 November 11, construction for 45 months, estimated to be finished in 2013.
