Mersin İdmanyurdu took place in Group C in Second League 1991–92 season. League played in three groups two with 17 teams and one with 18 teams. Bottom three teams relegated to Third League, whereas top team promoted to First League at the end of the season[1]. MİY didn't show previous year's performance and finished 10th with 12 wins and 44 goals.
