The Marches School is an academy located in Oswestry, North-West Shropshire, England. It is the first and at present, the only academy in Shropshire and the only one in the West Midlands region. It has an enrolment of around 1400 pupils, in year groups 7-11, key stages 3 and 4, ages 11/12 to 15/16. It has one of the highest achieving records in the United Kingdom.

Pupils come from primary schools in the town and neighbouring villages.

The academy offers GCSEs in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education (RE), Physical Education (PE), Art, Drama, Music, Textiles, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Food Technology, French, Spanish, German, ICT, Media Studies and offers a diploma in ICT.

The academy runs a comenius project, which enables students to go, and visitors to come from all over the world. The latest trip was to South Africa where six students and 10 teachers went to visit schools in South Africa and set up several projects.

The academy was originally a secondary school with Technology College status, but in response to the Academies Act 2010 being implimented, the school won its bid to become one of the UK's new academies and to become the first academy in the West Midlands region.
