History

Hail the Villain came from Oshawa, Ontario and came together in 2003 after vocalist Bryan Crouch quit school. Hail the Villain was originally called Fahrenheit in 2003. In early 2006, Fahrenheit changed their band name to Hail the Villain. In the spring of 2009, Hail the Villain made a record deal with Warner Music Canada. By the spring of 2010, Roadrunner Records had come on board to release the album in the United States. Hail the Villain's debut album Population: Declining, was released sometime in 2008 and re-released on Roadrunner Records on June 8, 2010. Their debut album was mixed by Mike Fraser. On August 17, 2010, Hail The Villain played on the Jägermeister stage at the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. The band is currently scheduled to play on the Jose Quervo Second Stage at The Kansas City Rockfest, held in downtown Kansas City, Missouri on the grounds of the Liberty Memorial on May 14, 2011, The concert put on by AEG Live, and KQRC 98.9 The Rock, is the said to be the largest one day music festival in the United States, with an expected 55,000 people in attendance. Starting on November 21, "Runaway" was used as the theme song for WWE's 2010 Survivor Series. In 2011, Population: Declining has been nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2011 Juno Awards.

Bryan Crouch is currently retraining how to use his voice. Doctors have ordered him not to speak but he insists on getting back on the road as soon as possible. Hail The Villain plans on recording their second studio album, more comic books, and even a full length 3D movie in the near future. They have recently released a music video for the song "My Reward", and they were on the 2011 MMVA: The Preview show.[2]

On November 11, 2011, Hail the Villain announced that after seven years of being in the band, Bryan Crouch has quit.[3]
