Dumitra Hydro Power Plant Official name Dumitra Hydro Power Plant Location Bumbeşti-Jiu, Gorj County, Romania Dam and spillways Impounds Jiu River Dumitra Hydro Power Plant will be a large power plant on the Jiu River situated in Romania that will receive a total investment of US$ 280 million.[1]
The project was started in the 1990s and it is made up by the construction of an arched concrete dam which was equipped with three vertical turbines, the hydropower plant having a proposed installed capacity of 72 MW. The power plant will generate 215 GWh of electricity per year.[1]
