The Brazi Power Station will be one of the largest electricity producer in Romania, having 2 gas fired groups of 430 MW [ [http://www.wall-street.ro/articol/Companii/43553/GE-Energy-construieste-termocentrala-de-860-MW-pentru-Petrom.html GE Energy and Metka will build a 860 MW station in Prahova County for Petromro icon] ] each totalling an installed capacity of 860 MW and an electricity generation capacity of around 6 TWh/year.

The power plant will be situated in the Prahova County (Southern Romania) near Petroms refinery in Brazi. The construction of the power plant will begin in 2009 and it will be finished in 2011 at a total cost of US$ 600 million.
