Dream On, Dreamer is an Australian six piece post-hardcore band from Melbourne. Formed in 2009 they released their début EP through Boomtown Records on 4 June 2010 titled Hope. The release of the EP was followed by many national tours with bands such as Pierce the Veil, Attack Attack! and Deez Nuts. The band will release their debut album "Heartbound" in August 2011, through their recent signing with Rise Records. The album was produced by Cameron Mizell (Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, Woe, Is Me) and will feature The Getaway Plan vocalist Matthew Wright on the single "To the Lost". The band recently replaced Sevendust in Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare Tour" in Australia after Sevendust dropped out without explanation.

Musical style

Dream On, Dreamer is known for performing mainly a post-hardcore and metalcore style of music. Their Hope EP is considered to contain a electronica influence in their songs, particularly in their song "Planted Somewhere Hidden", where their debut album Heartbound still contains that same electronica influence, but incorporates a more symphonic metal style of music into their overall sound.
