Pridemore has repeatedly sponsored legislation to protect whistleblowers in the health care industry.[3][4]
Controversy
In 2009, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin filed a complaint with the state after Pridemore criticized a candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction in a press release.[5][6]
Puppy mills
In 2011, Pridemore sponsored legislation that would allow unlicensed dog breeders to sell four times as many dogs each year. The previous restrictions had been implemented by former Governor Doyle in an effort to prevent 'puppy mills' where dogs live in abusive and neglectful conditions[7][8][9]
