DNA replication gene dnaC Identifiers Symbol dnaC Entrez 948864 UniProt P0AEF0 Other data dnaC is a bacterial gene that codes for protein DnaC. DnaC, also known as the helicase loader, is a regulator of DnaB.[1] DnaC forms a complex with DnaB, thus enabling DnaB to perform its functions in bacterial DNA replication.[2] This interaction of DnaC with DnaB requires the hydrolysis of ATP.[3]
