Diborane(4) is a chemical compound with the chemical formula B₂H₄. While theoretically possible, B₂H₄ has never been observed.^{[citation needed]}

Computational studies predict two structures. Both structures contain a boron–boron bond; in the ground state, there are two hydrogens bridging the two boron atoms; in the excited state, it has a more traditional structure with only the boron–boron bond. Substituted derivatives of diborane(4) have been observed.
