(Fraser, 1845)The Diademed Plover or Diademed Sandpiper-Plover (Phegornis mitchellii) is a species of bird in the Charadriidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Phegornis.[citation needed] It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland and swamps.
