Future Expansion
As of 2008, a light rail system has been proposed. Future expansion projects include light rail, bus rapid transit and possibly commuter rail service.[2] Six corridors are being studied as of 2010.

- Indianola Road Corridor = 15.2 miles
- Norfolk Southern Railroad Corridor = 6.9 miles
- Second Avenue Corridor = 10.7 miles
- Union Pacific Railroad Corridor = 10.7 miles
- University Avenue Corridor = 12.9 miles
