Dennis Robertson is a Scottish politician, and has been an Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Aberdeenshire West since 2011,[1] after defeating the Liberal Democrat incumbent, Mike Rumbles, by a majority of 4112 votes. He is a member of the Scottish National Party. He is the first blind MSP to be elected to the Scottish Parliament.[2]

Personal life

He has been registered as blind since he was 11, and has a wife, Anne and two daughters. One, Caroline, died in February 2011, after Dennis had started election campaigning.[2]
