Demirışık is a small village in Mersin Province, Turkey. It is a part of Mezitli district which is an intracity district of Greater Mersin. It is situated in the forests of Toros Mountains. At 36°57′N 34°25′E / 36.95°N 34.417°E / 36.95; 34.417 distance to Mersin is 51 kilometres (32 mi). The population is 262^[1] as of 2010. The main economic activity is peach horticulture. During winters some residents works as wood choppers.
