David Kearney is an Irish rugby union player who plays wing and fullback for Leinster rugby.
Kearney was born on June 19th 1989 in Dublin, Ireland. He attended Clongowes Wood College SJ.
Kearney played his first match for Leinster on May 16th 2009 against The Newport Dragons when he entered the game as a substitute. Kearney scored his first try in a Leinster jersey when playing Newport Dragons in December of the 2009-2010 season. It was one of three matches in which Kearney played that season. Kearney's third season with Leinster has been his most prolific thus far. He scored 4 tries in 13 Magners league matches during the 2010-2011 season. Kearney has earned 17 caps for the Ireland U-20 team and has also been capped once by the Ireland 'A' wolfhounds. Kearney is also a member of Lansdowne FC. Kearney's older brother, Rob starts at fullback for Leinster and the Irish National Rugby Union Team.
