David Morris (Australian politician)

David Charles Morris (born 30 December 1955) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2006, representing the seat of Mornington.

Morris was born in East Melbourne, Victoria, and attended Geelong College, graduating in 1973. He was a retail executive from 1975–80, after which he became a small business proprietor. In 1987, he was elected to Mornington Shire Council, serving until 1994 (including a period as President, 1992–93).[1]

In 2006, Morris was selected as the Liberal candidate for Mornington, a safe seat being vacated by sitting member Robin Cooper. He was duly elected and has represented the electorate since. In 2008, he became Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government.[1]

He is married with three stepchildren.[1]
