David Amerson is an American football cornerback for the NC State Wolfpack.

College career

As a true freshman in 2010, Amerson started nine of 13 games and recorded 50 tackles. Through 11 games of his sophomore season in 2011, Amerson has 51 tackles and is leading the nation in interceptions with 11.^[1] The 11 interceptions are tied with Dré Bly for the most interceptions in a season in ACC history.^[2] He was named a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award on November 21, 2011.^[3]
