(current in bold)Minister of Science & Technology Rabbi Professor Daniel Hershkowitz (Hebrew: דניאל הרשקוביץ, born 2 January 1953, Haifa, Israel) is an Israeli politician, mathematician and rabbi. In 2009 he was elected to the Knesset as the leader of The Jewish Home, and was appointed Minister of Science and Technology.[1][2][3]
Hershkowitz also serves as the rabbi of the Ahuza neighborhood in Haifa and as mathematics professor in the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology .[2]
He was President of the International Linear Algebra Society.[4] He earned his B.Sc. in 1973, M.Sc. in 1976, and D.Sc. in 1982, all from the Technion.
