8 September 1952 ) is anIsrael i politician. A member of theKnesset forKadima , he was appointed Minister of Immigrant Absorption in July 2008.He is a former member of the
Likud party and currently a member of theKadima party, which was formed byAriel Sharon at the end of 2005.Eli Aflalo was born in
Casablanca ,Morocco in 1952 and immigrated to Israel in1962 . He completed his army service with the rank of staff sergeant.Elected to the 16th Knesset in 2003, he served as a member of the Finance and Internal Affairs and Environment Committees. On March 30th 2005, he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade, and Labor.
He was also elected to the 17th Knesset and serves as a member on the Finance Committee as well as a member of the Joint Committee for the Defense Budget. He is also Chairman of the Lobby for Industry in Israel.
He has three children and currently resides in
