Medal record Competitor for Spain Men's Three-cushion billiards World Games Gold 2001 Akita Individual Gold 2005 Duisburg Individual Daniel Sánchez Gálvez (born 3 March 1974, and best known as Dani Sánchez)[1] is a Catalan Spanish professional carom billiards player. He first reached the finals of the UMB World Three-cushion Championship in 1996, but finished 2nd to Christian Rudolph. He successfully took the title in 1998, defeating 14-time World Champion Torbjörn Blomdahl. He won it again in 2005 against Jean Paul de Bruijn.
Sánchez is a winner of the CEB European Three-cushion Championship twice (1997 and 2000) and is a 31-time Spanish national Champion. He also won the gold medal twice at the three-cushion event of the 2001 and 2005 World Games, defeating Dick Jaspers on both occasions.
His highest run in competition is 15, and his best game average is 5 (50 points in 10 innings).
He is often seen in matches wearing a red vest.
In 2007, he nearly won the world title for the third time but he was outclassed by Ryuuji Umeda of Japan.
