It was released on March 15, 2011 on 429 Records. Dancing Backward in High Heels can best be described as a departure from the New York Dolls hard rock, punk, sound and a return to the girl group, 1960's rock invasion genre that both David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain have claimed to love. With the only song featuring the trade-mark attitude of the Dolls, Dancing Backwards in High Heels focuses on pure power-pop, doo-wop, and the style of the 1960s.
