Label =Frank Infante was the
guitar player of the punk/New Wave band Blondie. Prior to Blondie he played guitar in heavy electric blues groups such as The Elegant End and World War III. He joined Blondie in1977 , [ [http://www.rip-her-to-shreds.com/history.php History ] ] bringing with him the heavy rock style integral to their "power-pop" sound. He plays on their second album "Plastic Letters ", but was not pictured on the album cover. He was their bassist untilNigel Harrison joined the group in1977 , at which time Harrison took over the bass role and Infante switched to guitar. Both he and Harrison stayed with the band until it broke up in the mid-1980s, and they were both left out of the band when it reformed in1999 .He wrote some of Blondie's most unusual songs, including "Underground Girl", "Victor", and "I Know But I Don't Know". He also played the main guitar hooks on the band's most popular hits, including the guitar solo on "Rapture". He has toured and recorded with
Iggy Pop ,Divinyls , and played guitar on albums byStiv Bators ,Sylvain Sylvain andJoan Jett . He played the electric guitar lines on "What's Up" by4 Non Blondes . Infante currently lives inLos Angeles, California .Frank Infante was inducted into the
