Dance Dance Revolution Family Mat (ダンスダンスレボリューション ふぁみマット) was released by Konami in 2001 to the Japanese video game market. It was designed as a TV Plug-n-Play unit requiring no video game console, however unlike later Plug-n-Play units, the DDR Family Mat also had an expandable music library that allowed users to play different songs on separately purchasable cartridges.
