¿Cuánto quieres perder? is a Mexican reality series based on NBC's The Biggest Loser. It aired every Sunday night on the El Canal de las Estrellas channel, and was hosted by Galilea Montijo.

Synopsis

The show features fourteen obese contestants from Mexico, who compete with each other to lose the most weight. The contestants are divided into two teams, where each is assigned a trainer. Season 1 started aired on May 18, 2008; and finished on August 10, 2008 with Ignacio "Nacho" Mestas as the winner of the competition. Yannira Vega was the runner-up.

• Alex, was formerly a member of the Blue Team until Week 2, when the Red Team lost for the second week in a row and had to eliminate another member, in this case it was Tere who was eliminated from the Red Team, leaving the teams unbalance with 7 members on the Blue Team and 5 members on the Red Team, Galilea the host, asked the leader of the Blue Team that week (Nacho) to choose a member of his team to send him or her to the opposite team, and he decided that Alex should be transferred to the other team, despite the opposition of some members from his team.
• Ana Luisa, was formerly a member of the Red Team until Week 4, when the Blue Team lost for the second week in a row, and had to eliminate another member, in this case it was... who was eliminated from the Blue Team, leaving the teams unbalanced with 6 members on the Red Team and 4 members on the Blue Team, Galilea, the hostess, asked the leader of the Red Team to choose a member of his team to send him or her to the opposite team, and he decided that Ana Luisa should be transferred to the other team.
• Ivan withdraw the competition before the weigh in on Week 5, because of a lesion in his arm, and he couldn't continue in the competition, he was replaced with Elvira.
• From Week 8 onwards, there are no more teams, it will be now a competition of men vs men, and women vs women.

Week 1

First aired on May 18, 2008

• The 14 contestants are split into two teams: the Blue Team , and the Red Team . The Blue Team consists of Alex, Elvira, Frank, Liliana, Lizeth, Nacho and Yannira. The Red Team consists of Anabel, Ana Luisa, Iván, Luis, Pepe, Tere and Victor.
• The Blue Team wins the weigh in.
• Victor and Ana Luisa were nominated for eviction by their team.
• Victor from the Red Team is the 1st contestant eliminated, as he lost the public vote to Ana Luisa.

Week 2

First aired on May 25, 2008

• The Blue Team wins the two challenges of the week and lost 5 more kilos from the weigh in.
• The Blue Team wins the weigh in for the second week in a row.
• Tere, Ana Luisa, Pepe and Luis were nominated for eviction in a four way tie vote between the members of the team.
• Tere from the Red Team is the 2nd contestant eliminated, as she lost the public vote against the other members.
• Alex, formerly a member of the Blue Team until this week, when the Red Team lost for the second week in a row and had to eliminate another member, in this case it was Tere who was eliminated from the Red Team , leaving the teams unbalanced with 7 members on the Blue Team and 5 members on the Red Team , Galilea, the hostess, asked the leader of the Blue Team that week (Nacho) to choose a member of his team to send to the opposite team, and he decided that Alex should be transferred to the other team, despite the opposition of some members from his team.

Week 3

First aired on June 1, 2008

• Galilea Montijo, the hostess, announced at the beginning of the show that from now on, the person that loses the least from each week will be nominated first and the second one by the team. It was also showed some controversy with the switching of the teams last week with Alex being transferred from the Blue Team to the Red Team .
• The Red Team won the challenge, that was about delivering orders in the hotel-spa they're living in, and by winning, the Red Team had the chance to spend a meal with their families, and also the right of 2 kilos less in the weigh in.
• The Second Challenge was about physical strength where both teams had to push a spinning arm trying to complete 50 laps. The Red Team won again and won the right of 5 kilos less in the weigh in, having now 7 kilos less in the weigh in.
• The Red Team won the weigh in.
• The Blue Team lost for the first time and with the new rule the contestant that lost the least (Elvira) was the first nominated of the night.
• Nacho won the immunity challenge that was about breaking an ice block that contained a ball with the name of the contestant.
• The second nominated was proposed by the team, and it was Liliana by 3 votes, from Lizeth, Yannira and Frank. Yannira was save, as she received 2 votes, from Liliana and Elvira.
• Elvira was the 3rd eliminated, she obtained 23% of the votes, Liliana was saved as she obtained 77% of the votes.

Week 4

First aired on June 8, 2008

• This week Alex had breaking point this week, he left for 3 days the spa, but he was given the chance to come back, with the condition that 2 more kilograms will be added to the weight of his team. It didn't matter as his team lost 14 kilos and 2.13% of weight loss and the Blue Team lost again having lost only 9.5 kilos and 1.59% of weight loss, with that Yannira was nominated immediately after she gained 0.4 kilos this week, the other nominated was selected by the team, and it was Lizeth.
• Ana Luisa was transferred to the Blue Team to balance the teams.
• Lizeth was the 4th contestant eliminated as she lost the public vote against Yannira.

Week 5

First aired on June 15, 2008

• Ivan, member from the Red Team had to quit the competition because he dislocated his shoulder, so by the decision from the producers, in order to not to hurt him, decided that he had to withdraw the competition, the Red Team had the opportunity to choose one of the eliminated contestants to return, and they decided that Elvira, the 3rd contestant eliminated was given the chance to return to the competition.
• The Red Team won a challenge that was about chasing pigs, and had the right to prepare a heavy meal to one of the contestants, and they decided to give that huge meal to Nacho in order to let him to win more weight.
• Frank and Nacho had the visit of their children for the father's day. And Liliana had the visit from her husband and her daughter.
• The Red Team lost the weigh in as it had just 0.40% of weight loss, and the Blue Team won the weigh in as it had a 2.45% of weight loss. One of the reasons because of the huge difference was because the contestants were tempted with high calories food; Yannira, Nacho and Ana Luisa took the temptation and as a reward for taking the temptation they had the right to give one and a half kilos to other contestant in the weigh in, Yannira and Nacho gave it to Luis, who had 3 more kilos in his weigh in; and Ana Luisa gave it to Alex, who had 1.5 more kilos in his weigh in.
• Luis was nominated automatically as he was the one who lost less weigh because of the 3 kilos that Nacho and Yannira gave him after the temptation.
• The other nominated was Anabel who received three votes, from Luis, Pepe and Alex. Anabel voted for Pepe who was save. Alex didn't receive a vote because he had immunity, as he won the immunity challenge about scoring penalties.
• Anabel was the 5th contestant eliminated from the competition, as she lost the public vote against Luis.

Week 6

First aired on June 22, 2008

• The Red Team had 3.16% of weight lost and the Blue Team had 1.97% of weight loss. That means that the Red Team won the weigh in and the Blue Team lost and had to nominate two members for eviction.
• Yannira was nominated automatically as she was the one who lost the least weight from her team.
• Liliana was the other nominated by the Blue Team. Nacho, Yannira, Frank and Ana Luisa voted for Liliana, Liliana's vote was for Ana Luisa.
• Yannira and Liliana are the nominees for eviction one of them will be the 6th eliminated.
• The 6th contestant eliminated from the competition will be announced at the beginning of the next week (June 29) as for the first time, the public vote will be open until the next week.

Week 7

First aired on June 29, 2008

• After the public vote from last week, Liliana was eliminated as she lost the vote against Yannira. She was the 6th eliminated from the competition.
• The Blue Team lost as it had 2.26% of weight loss, the Red Team had a 5.20%, so it won.
• Ana Luisa and Frank were nominated for eviction. Ana Luisa was nominated automatically as she had lost the least weight of her team. Frank was the second nominated by the team, he received the votes from Ana Luisa, Nacho and Yannira; Frank's vote was for Nacho.
• Frank was the 7th eliminated for the competition, as he lost the public vote against Ana Luisa.

Week 8

First aired on July 6, 2008

• From this week onwards, there will be no more teams, the competition will be men against men and women against women.
• None was nominated this week, as Elvira had to withdraw from the competition as she broke her leg in a cycling accident.
• Elvira does not start the program due to a cycling accident. She is in the hospital and the rest of the participants visit her. She ends up leaving the competition for good.
• Pepe ask Elvira to be his girlfriend, but receives help from the other men who tell him what to do and say thu a walkie talkie.
• Yannira calls her daughter on her birthday
• Luis offers to donate the 1.5 Million Pesos to Omar, a 3 year old boy who weight 45 kg. So he could get medical attention. He also gets a visit from his girlfriend
• Nacho is the contestant who has lost more weight in the eight weeks, and its half way to his weight loss goal.

Week 9

First aired on July 13, 2008

• Teams for this week will be pairs.
• The 6 contestants remaining are now aligned in teams of two: Yannira and Nacho, Ana Luisa and Luis; and Pepe and Alex. The team who loses the least weight will be nominated for eviction.
• Yannira and Nacho are the team who loses the most weight, Ana Luisa and Luis are saved too as Luis by himself lose 4 kilos, and Pepe and Alex were the ones who lost the least weight and were automatically nominated for eviction, one of them will be evicted next week.

Week 10

First aired on July 20, 2008

• The new teams for this week are Nacho and Ana Luisa, Alex and Yannira; and Pepe and Luis.
• The person who loses the public vote from last week nomination, either Pepe or Alex will be evicted.
• Alex is eliminated at the end of the episode.
• Yannira and Alex's team wins the weigh in, Ana Luisa and Nacho's team lost the weigh in and both get nominated for eviction for next week, with this Yannira, Luis and Pepe make to the Final 4 contestants.

Week 11

First aired on July 27, 2008

• There are no teams, the competition is now individual.
• The person who loses the public vote from last week between Ana Luisa and Nacho will be eliminated in 5th place.
• Ana Luisa lost the public vote against Nacho, so she was eliminated on 5th place.
• Yannira was the first nominated as she lost the least as she gain 100 grams of weight.
• Pepe was the second nominated by the rest of the contestants. He voted for Nacho.
• Pepe and Yannira are nominated for eviction for the next week.

Week 12 - Semifinal

First aired on August 3, 2008

• The person who loses the public vote between Pepe and Yannira will be eliminated in 4th place, right before the Finale on August 10, 2008.
• Galilea, the hostess of the show, stated at the end of last week episode that this is going to be the semifinal episode.
• Pepe is eliminated by losing the public vote to Yannira. Next week, the three semi-finalists will be narrowed down to two finalists, and then one winner.

Week 13 - Season Finale

First aired on August 10, 2008

• Expected Season Finale with the Final 3 contestants.
• Luis was eliminated first in 3rd place by public vote, and as the person from all the eliminated contestants who lose the most weigh (66% of weight loss) received a prize of $200,000 pesos, who decided to give to support Omar, the 3 years old boy who weights 45 kilos.
• El Bollo, a contestant in the virtual weight lost challenge won also $200,000 pesos.
• Elvira received a special prize of $48,000 pesos.
• Yannira and Nacho are the Final 2 one of the them will win the prize of $1.5 million pesos.
• The person who received the most votes from the audience will have the advantage of 5 kilos less from his/her final weigh in, and it was Yannira.
• Nacho was the declared the winner of this competition after he had a total weight loss of 41.1 kilograms and a percentage of weight loss of 70.98%, he received a prize of $1.5 million of pesos. Yannira was the runner-up as she had a total weight loss of 23.3 kilos and a percentage of weight loss of 68.16%.
