Curtis Creager Birth name Curtis Creager Genres Punk rock, classic rock Instruments Bass guitar Years active 1987–present Labels Cargo Records Associated acts SNFU, Deadbeat Backbone, Durtloader Curtis Creager is a Canadian bass guitarist, best known as a former member of the punk rock band SNFU.
Career
Creager joined the influential[1][2] Edmonton, Alberta-based skate punk band SNFU in 1987, becoming their fourth bassist. While with the band he recorded tracks for their third LP, 1988's Better Than A Stick In The Eye, and embarked on extensive touring with the group, including their first trip to Europe.
SNFU disbanded temporarily in 1989, and Creager went on to play in the band Deadbeat Backbone with members of Jr. Gone Wild. In 1991, Creager joined the Belke brothers, singer Ken Chinn and former drummer Jon Card in reforming SNFU. The band embarked on an extensive tour, but Creager opted against staying with the band thereafter as they relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, signed to Epitaph Records and returned to a full-time workload. Creager also appears on the SNFU compilation album The Last Of The Big Time Suspenders.
Most recently, Creager has co-founded the Montreal, Quebec-based classic rock band Durtloader in 2008.[3]
