Cristiano Marcello is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and the Chute Boxe BJJ head coach, his most notable win is over The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir alumni Dave Kaplan. Cristiano has fought for PRIDE Fighting Championship. Marcello is widely known for a backstage altercation at PRIDE Shockwave 2005 in which Charles Bennett insulted the Chute Boxe Academy and Wanderlei Silva. Marcello and Bennett engaged each other, and Marcello put Bennett to sleep with a triangle choke before the fight was broken up.[2] In January 2009, Marcello left the Chute Boxe Academy in Curitiba to go full force with his own martial arts academy, CM System. His unique method of applying Jiu-Jitsu to MMA applications has resulted in the creation of the top MMA fighters in the world, the CM System training facility will open its doors in March 2009, Marcello although left Chute Boxe, he is still considered BJJ head coach and trains Chute Boxe fighters out of his gym.[3]
