History
The Creative Zii was originally uncovered by Engadget on July 7, 2009. They uncovered an FCC filing with Zii and Zii EGG logos on a rectangular shaped product with a HD camera above it. The filings revealed connectivity through Wireless LAN and Bluetooth. Additionally, they revealed that the player would be touchscreen.[2]
The Creative Zii is the consumer model, and the Zii EGG is the developers model. It is assumed that it will be powered by Zii Labs' ZMS-05 processor, which was revealed at CES 2009. Zii Labs is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Technology.
