He was one of the factors of the championship run by the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the 2008 PBA Fiesta Conference. Born to Ernani Pacana, Jr. and Elizabeth Mendoza, Pacana was the fifteenth draft pick of the Coca-Cola Tigers in 2006. He was then signed by the Sta. Lucia Realtors[2] in the 2009-2010 PBA season.
