Chris Murray, born in 1970, is the co-founder and Managing Director of Ridgeford Properties.^[1]

Early Life

Chris Murray grew up in Ottawa, Canada, where he attended Ashbury College, an independent day and boarding school located in Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa, Canada.^[2]

The Murray family has a history in construction, with nine members of the family having trained as architects.^[3]

Business Interests

Chris Murray founded Ridgeford Properties in 1995, with his cousin and Chairman of the development firm, Sean Murray.^[4] In September 2010, Murray announced that Ridgeford Properties had secured a loan from a British-based bank for £33m. It was one of the first speculative loans made to a property development company in the UK during the last 18 months.^[5]

Ridgeford is the sister company to the Murray family’s property company, Sakto Corporation, which started out in Ottawa. ^[6]
