Chak No.209 TDA is a village situated in union council 61 ML, District Bhakkar, Punjab, Pakistan. It is located on the main Islamabad Karachi highway, 4 kilometers from Saray Mohajir and almost 30 kilometers away from Bhakkar city.

History

The village is situated in Thal a desert area of Punjab. This area is hot and sandy. The village was established in 1952 and was colonised by army personnels.

Population

Its population is nearly 2500 and it has 1300 voters. The village has 100 murabbas, many mosques, a panchayet ghar, three schools. This village and this area is the place where Punjabi and Baloch people co exist, although Punjabi culture is dominant.

Village

The village has well planned, straight and wide streets.The village is in rectangular form and initially it had 100 homes.

Profession

Much of the population is involved in agriculture. Wheat, sugarcane, pulses are the main crops. Livestock is also bred. Some are involved in businesses.

Language

The residents of this village speak Punjabi, but they are familiar with Saraiki, Urdu too, well educated know English.
