Henare Uru

Henare Uru

Henare Whakatau Uru (1872 – 1929) was a Māori of Ngāi Tahu and a Reform Party Member of Parliament in New Zealand.

He won the Southern Māori seat in the 1922 Southern Māori by-election after the death of his brother John Hopere Wharewiti Uru, and held it to 1928 when he was defeated by Tuiti Makitanara.
