The Institute of Technology @ Syracuse Central is a newly added Highschool (once a former vocational school) in downtown Syracuse, New York. Central Tech was recently reopened during the 2007-2008 school year with 96 students in their Freshman year.
History
Central Tech are having issue with State funding. The project to renovate this building nearly doubled from 35 million dollars to 65 million dollars. If the building doesn't get renovated, this school might close down due to overpopulation. This is the biggest problem of the Syracuse City School District.
Building
Students currently attend classes in the smaller building located behind the main building.
Physical Education
Since the main building is still under remodeling, students do not have a gym. Instead they have a small but spacey, shop room. Students are able to use the weights in the back of the room. Students also are able to use many physical game stations including the popular Dance Dance Revolution videogame. The room also serves as locker room for the football team.

Central Tech has a football team with members in their Freshman and Sophmore year. They have a basic full-length feild to practice on. The Central Tech Eagles use the Corcoran High School's football feilds or home games. For girls, there is a volleyball team. Central Tech will have two basketball teams (for boys and girls). There may also be a Lacrosse team this year.
