Sarah Louise Young ref|sarah (born April 15 1971 in Sidcup, London) is a retired English pornographic actress.

Background

Sarah was raised in Hampshire, in southern England, with a younger brother. Her mother was a seamstress and her father a structural engineer. While growing up her ambition was to become a dentist. She refused to let anybody take photographs of her as a child because she was shy and introverted.

Sarah was 10 when her breasts began to develop and, at school, was teased mercilessly about it. This caused her to become embarrassed about her body and she took to wearing big jumpers and loose clothing to hide her rapidly developing figure.

It was while she was on a family holiday in Yugoslavia that she had her first sexual experience; the boy was a 22-year-old local and Sarah was 13. She did not find the experience particularly enjoyable. It was not until about a year later that she became truly sexually active with the realisation that she especially enjoyed having sex—preferably with a stranger—in public places: the prospect of being caught simply adding to the excitement; and caught she was on numerous occasions. On one such, the police found her having sex in front of the police station: they let her off with a warning. On another, the ticket collector of the train she was travelling on interrupted her and her partner having sex in one of the compartments. After seeing what they were doing he simply checked their tickets and left.

By the age of 15, she had, by her own admission, after having a whole succession of boyfriends and one-night stands, become the school nymphomaniac.

Career

In 1986 she was approached by a photographer in the street and agreed to pose for some trial pictures for the famous Page Three of the national newspaper "The Sun". The positive response to the pictures led to an invitation for Sarah to join a modelling agency, and for the first time she began to realise that most men considered her to be beautiful. Although still shy in her personal life, in front of the camera she rapidly lost all her inhibitions.

At 17 she left home to live with a boyfriend in London continuing with her modelling during the day and spending the nights visiting the swingers clubs.

She appeared in her first pornographic photo shoot at age 18, modelling for "Private" magazine while in the Costa del Sol. She was hesitant to do the shoot as the porn industry did not have a very positive reputation in England at the time. At the urging of a friend she went ahead, and quickly concluded that the poor reputation of the porn industry was undeserved. Her first hardcore scene was a gang bang with five men and she proved a willing performer – Young's specialities became group sex and the 'facial' cum shot. The scenes appeared in a number of European magazines and reports became a scandal story in the British tabloid press. The photos also brought her to the attention of Hans Moser (aka Sascha Alexander), an established porn film director and producer, and magazine publisher. After he’d made all the necessary arrangements with her agent, Sarah flew to Hannover, Germany in September 1989 to meet him; and perform in the first of many films for him. They were married on the 13 January 1991 in Las Vegas, USA.

In early-1992 Sarah underwent breast enhancement surgery, giving her the voluptuous figure which would be a major factor in her increasing popularity. At a time when it was still unusual for a British model to feature regularly in hardcore pornography, Young starred in over 200 films alongside some of the best known porn actors of the time, winning a number of industry awards. She was the first porn actress to earn $1,000,000 for a single film.

Also in 1992, Sarah opened her first sex shop. Situated on the Am Klagesmarkt, Hannover, and named Sarah Young Erotic Markt, there would eventually be eleven such shops in various German cities.

She was a guest on many German talk shows during the 1990s where she spoke reasonably fluent German.

She was also hugely popular in Denmark and visited Copenhagen in March 1997, where she was interviewed by nearly all major newspapers and TV-stations (most famously "NatMadsen" on TV2), while her personal appearances at video shops etc. attracted huge crowds of fans [Nicolas Barbano: "Verdens 25 hotteste pornostjerner" (Rosinante, Denmark 1999), page 95] .

Although the majority of the films that she appears in were made by, and for, her and her husbands company, Sarah Young Communications, she also performed in the period costume films "Decameron" – inspired by Boccaccio’s bawdy tales of the same name – and "Hamlet", both of which were filmed by the renowned director Franco Lo Cascio (as Luca Damiano) at the Piccolomini Castle, Balsorano, Abruzzo, Italy. "Hamlet" is one of the most erotic parodies of a Shakespeare play ever filmed, and won many industry awards. She also went to Hungary to perform in a series of films for director Mario Bianchi (as Nicholas Moore), one of which, "Sexy Killer", was loosely based on the 1990 Luc Besson film "Nikita".

Having spent her career performing in, writing, producing and directing films, in 1997, as the porn industry began to switch to lower budget movies, Sarah Young decided to retire from the business. She divorced Sascha Alexander in 1999 and was said to be studying law in the USA, hoping to become a lawyer, though this remains unconfirmed.
