Dheri is a town and union council of Mardan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.[1] It is located at 34°1'0N 72°57'0E with an altitude of 514 metres (1689 feet).[2]

Dheri Union council is a strong hold of JUI(F).It Consists of the following villages. Zareef khan dheri, Madad Khan Bandda, Shah sar, Mohalla Daavikhel, charchur, Lepanray, Kotkay etc. The Chiefs of Dheri were Madad Khan of Katlang and Kamal Shah Daavi. There are two main Pashtun tribes living in Dheri. 1) Gharghasht 2) and Dalazak. Ghurghusht tribe is further divided into Kakar, Daavi( also called Daavi khel), Jalal Khel and Cheenawal. The population of Ghurghusht is more than Dalazak tribe.Wardak tribe also live in Lekpani village. There are also living other tribes in Dheri namely Tarkan, Lowar, Mian, sayyad and Kasab Ghar. The prominent figures of Dheri: 1) Principal Qazi Aslam Khan DaaviJUI(F) Leader 2) Chairman Sarwar shah khan Daavi(Ex-President PPPP PF-28). 3) Advocate Riaz Khan Daavi. 4) Jamal Khan Haji saib.( Brother of Late MPA Iqbal khan) 5) Ghulam Faqir haji Saib. 6) Nasim khan. 7) Fayaz Ali Shah( Assistant Commissioner Mardan). 8) Muntazir khan (PML(N)) 9) Shah hussain. 10)Ummat shah Daavikhel 11) Muslim Shah 12) Pegham Shah Daavikhel
